HEARING POINTS
Our office provides direct representation at all hearing points within the five boroughs and the greater metropolitan region, including Long Island and Westchester. Our office also provides representation in New City and Newburgh. Upon request, our office will travel to Kingston, Monticello, and Albany. Our firm also interviews witnesses, conducts depositions and schedules settlement conferences in our offices or at other locations throughout the country. [back to top]
TRANSFER OF FILES
Our office employs three full-time messengers who travel between our clients' offices, the Workers' Compensation Board locations and our central offices in Manhattan and Hempstead. Their entire day is scheduled around pick-up and drop-off of files. We generally ask that clients fax or email a list of hearings to our office at least one week in advance of the scheduled hearings, to the attention of our Calendar Manager. Upon receipt, the list of hearings is entered into our computer system, and a pick-up list generated for our messengers. While we strive to systematize our pick up and delivery process, our messengers are flexible and understand the last-minute nature of our clients needs, and will pick up and deliver single files without advance notice.
